Hi Everyone:
Well I thought I would try my hand at blogging since it seems like a fun way to talk about my favorite subject "Bunnies" and everyone else seems to be doing it except me.... I will post here all the new an exciting happenings of Heavenly Hops of Love Rabbitry located in Saskatchewan on the beautiful Garden River near Henribourg.
Plans are in the works to acquire some beautiful Jersey Wooly rabbits from the late Brian Hartzell Rabbitry located in Ohio, USA. I feel Brian was one of the best breeders of Jersey Wooly's and it would be an honor to have some of his rabbits in my barn. I am just waiting now to see the pictures of the buns on my wish list. I hope to have the rabbits shipped for the Wetaskiwin show in Alberta this Valentine's Day. Keep your fingers crossed for me that all things go as planned. Thanks so much Carrie for your help with this. I look forward to meeting you and your buns in person at the show. The Wetaskiwin show is one of my favorites to attend as it has a bird show as well. I think it is so fun to see all the neat birds you would never see anywhere else except maybe a zoo or hot holiday somewhere...
I hope to take a number of junior holland lops to the show along with my broken black junior frenchies. Hopefully my jerseys will be in condition to go as well. Currently a lot of rabbits are starting to molt so we will have to see... But if nothing else I hope that means spring is just around the corner... Like in a month or so would be really nice! I tried breeding a number of rabbits this week but no one seems to be quite in the mood yet. Hopefully the full moon will change their minds this weekend.
Till next time, have a great full moon weekend... We hope to go ice fishing so hope it gets them biting!
